Ab Interno Canaloplasty With VIA360

Show Description +

In this case, a patient presented with elevated IOP due to drop and followup noncompliance. Edward Yung, MD, performs MIGS to reduce the patient's glaucoma medication burden without subjecting them to the risk of filtering surgery. In this video, he demonstrates a 360-degree ab interno canaloplasty with the VIA360 surgical system (New World Medical). The VIA360 delivers viscoelastic into Schlemm canal for viscodilation of the conventional outflow pathway. The video demonstrates on-demand delivery of pressurized viscoelastic as the catheter is retracted, causing marked rapid blanching of the collector channels and episcleral veins.
