Mohammed ElMallah, MD, presents the removal of a "NewColorIris" cosmetic Iris implant. The prosthesis was removed secondary to the development of uveitic glaucoma as well as ongoing corneal endothelial cell loss.
yea- you really have to be nuts to have this thing implanted.
Iritis, secondary glaucoma, endothelial cell loss. Also, a case report of bilateral CRVO's.
this thing caused glaucoma and corneal decomp? wow- wouldnt have expected that. but im sure the color change was worth it! i have a suspicion informed consent is not so meticulous in panama as it is here.
