Channels: Cataract Surgery | Posted 10/24/2016

With this patient, there is no bag to support the IOL in the 180-degree temporal side. During the replacement IOL process, the pupil decreased in size. The surgeon decides to use an iris expansion ring (Canabrava’s Ring; AJL Ophhtalmic) in association with an intrascleral double-needle fixation by Dr. Shin Yamane, from Japan.
