Channels: Cataract Surgery | Posted 2/9/2010

In this presentation from Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital and Eye Research Centre, the patient presents with superiorly subluxated lens, aniridia, and glaucoma. In this combined procedure, two limbal-based scleral flaps are made 180 degrees apart to secure the haptics of the glued lens. A special aniridia IOL with haptic eyelets for suturing is implanted in the anterior chamber, then the haptics are secured in the with fibrin glue. A trabeculectomy with punch is performed.
