Phototherapeutic Keratectomy - Superficial Keratectomy for Irregular Astigmatism

Matthew Rauen, MD, of Wolfe Eye Clinic in West Des Moines, Iowa, provides cases of irregular astigmatism due to anterior corneal pathology. The final case is treated with a combination of superficial keratectomy and phototherapeutic keratectomy (PTK). This laser treatment of the cornea led to an excellent visual outcome.
