Alan Carlson, MD, presents a complex patient with a failed corneal transplant. Previous transplant surgery was performed on an emergency basis for severe infection and corneal perforation. His "high risk" graft now requires repeat keratoplasty, lysis of anterior and posterior synechia and "open sky" cataract surgery.
