Claudio Trindade, MD, presents a new concept of intraocular implant based on the pinhole effect. It was created to treat irregular corneal astigmatism and pseudophakic presbyopia. The device is a three-haptic implant made of a black hydrophobic acrylic that is designed to be supported in the ciliary sulcus of pseudophakic eyes.
