In the past I had my surgical nurse push the plunge for me but since I had this complication I do it myself and it has not happened again. I feel that I have more control injecting myself.
This happened to me once when a fellow injected when I was under high mag. I was too close to the hole and the injection was too forceful. I then switched to glass syringes because you don't have to overcome that initial resistance of the rubber plunger against the plastic syringe wall. It is a much more controlled injection.
