Episode 2: The Findings and Implications of the CRUISE and COPERNICUS Trials

In the second episode of the Retina Today Journal Club moderators Jonathan Prenner, MD, and Richard Kaiser, MD, interview Allen Ho, MD, director of the clinical retina research unit at Wills Eye Hospital. Dr. Ho discusses macular edema developed after treatment for central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO).

Until recently there has been no treatment for macular edema that is secondary to CRVO. Two trials were conducted to assess the efficacy - the trials were the COPERNICUS and CRUISE trials. In this episode Dr. Ho reviews the trials, compares results of the two studies, and discusses his current approach to treating macular edema.
