Slit Lamp-Based Surgical Excision of an Overhanging Bleb

Bleb dysesthesia can result years after successful filtration surgery. A challenge is to relieve such symptoms without compromising the original filtering bleb. This video demonstrates slit-lamp-based confirmation of both OCT and UBM findings in the literature of an overhanging bleb. Such careful assessment led to the successful excision of the overhanging bleb with no evidence of bleb leak or bleb failure postoperatively. Not only was there a resolution of dysesthesia but also preservation of bleb function several months postoperatively during follow-up.
