Mark Kontos, MD, interviews Patricia Sierra, MD, regarding her research on miosis after laser cataract surgery. Dr. Sierra and colleagues studied pupillary constriction in patients who did and did not receive one drop of nepafenac 0.3% 30 to 60 minutes prior to the laser procedure. She reports differences in the incidence and degree of pupillary constriction after laser cataract surgery between the control and laser groups.
