In analogy to anterior segment phaco, there is a lot of room for variation based on the lens, but here are some starting parameters: We use an Alcon platform. Vacuum 250 Aspiration 35 Torsion amplitude 100% Phaco Amplitude 0-50% depending on density of fragment I have only used a 20G needle, but I agree that this technique might work well with MICS instrumentation. Dr.Leiderman, what settings do you use on your phaco machine in this technique? Also, have you tried a MICS phaco tip?
