Episode 13: The Role of Osmolarity in Dry Eye Patients

Osmolarity measurements have become easier to obtain with the TearLab device. Christopher Starr, MD, discusses his experience with the role of osmolarity in patients with dry eye disease, and how patients have become invested in improving their number.

Dr. Starr explains that this diagnostic device provides a mechanism to get patients more vested in their ocular health. Two small studies were conducted and focused on osmolarity levels in cataract surgery patients and in healthy normal medical students, in dry-eye inducing scenarios.
