Visible Meibomian Gland Structure Increases After Vectored Thermal Pulsation

Arjan Hura, MD, reports that treatment with vectored thermal pulsation (LipiFlow, TearScience) has the potential to restore meibomian gland function even after the glands have atrophied. In their recent research, Dr. Hura and colleagues found that LipiFlow treatment statistically significantly improved several dry eye disease markers, including an increase in visible gland structure.
