George Stamatelatos, BSc Optom, explores the value of vector planning in eyes undergoing laser refractive surgery for myopic astigmatism. Dr. Stamatelatos shares the results of a study comparing vector planning and manifest refraction and reveals that excimer laser treatments using vector planning resulted in less corneal astigmatism, less refractive cylinder and total astigmatism, and better uncorrected visual acuity than treatments using manifest refraction alone.
