EDOF vs Trifocals: Pro Trifocals

Extended depth of focus and trifocal IOLs each offer fewer issues related to glare, halos, and contrast, compared with bifocal diffractive lenses. In our last WOC update Gerd U. Auffarth, MD, PhD, FEBO, offered his reasons for favoring EDOF lenses. Here, in a continuation of our coverage, Ahmed El-Massry, MD, explains why he prefers trifocal lenses for their image resolution and defocus curve.
