Retinal Detachment in Acute Retinal Necrosis

Show Description +

We present a patient who developed retinal detachment associated with acute retinal necrosis (ARN). The detachment was repaired with 23G pars plana vitrectomy and silicone oil tamponade. The intraoperative view demonstrates the necrotic detached retina with diffuse microbreaks, which is characteristic of ARN-associated detachments.
