I guess this procedure would be suitable to small tears and shallow retinal detachments... complemented by laser photocoagulation and removal of the implant after 3 to 4 weekes...

Maybe to make its removal simpler, this exoplant could be made with some liquid inside that could be drained prior to removal (so it would be easier to remove a small exoplant than a big one).
