You might have consider intraocular lidocaine to put the worm to asleep before the visoelastic, but it didn't look like it was moving around that much. I'll have to upload my video of removing 1000 x 80 micron cornea adult worm some time.

thanks mehdi! the patient was a middle-aged caucasion female with a remote travel history but no known explanation for how this dancer got into her eye!

thanks for the comments. great questions. i wish i had answers for you, unfortunately, i dont. not sure how it got in the eye and due to unforeseen events during specimen processing, it is my understanding, that we unable to determine exactly what kind of worm it was.
