Cryopreserved Amniotic Membrane for Severe Dry Eye Patients

Show Description +

Dr. Milner discusses how CAM can help with severe dry eye and neurotrophic patients. How treatment with PROKERA was associated with a dramatic reduction of all signs and symptoms at 1 month, which was maintained out to 3 months (the duration of the study). In addition to symptomatic relief and improved vision, CAM-C regenerated corneal nerves as measured by increased nerve density on confocal microscopy and increased corneal sensitivity, attesting to its regenerative mechanism of action.
