Ocular Surface Disease: OD Winner
Case Information
A 75 year-old Caucasian male presented with a growth OD that he had been noticing getting larger within the last year. Patient stated he was asymptomatic with no concerns of worsening vision or irritation/discomfort. Entering VA was 20/20 OU with a gelatinous lesion encroaching the cornea temporally. Patient was initially started on lotemax, but after no improvement, AS-OCT was performed.
Medical History:
DM Type 2, Hypertension and Hypercholesterolemia. Previous skin cancer removal on face (unspecified).
Concomitant Medications:
Clopidogrel 75mg, Atorvastatin 80mg, Famotidine 40 mg, Lisinopril 20mg, metoprolol 100mg, Glipizide 10 mg
Diagnosis:
Ocular Surface Squamous Neoplasia
Treatment:
5-Fluorouracil 1% 1 gtt QID OD for 5 rounds (1 week on, 3 weeks off)
