Yinan Liu, MD, discusses a recent study that compared the fluidics options available on the Centurion with Active Sentry platform in patients with low corneal endothelial cell density to evaluate surgical efficacy and patient comfort. Results demonstrated, for this patient population, that conducting phacoemulsification at a lower IOP resulted in less corneal damage than traditional IOP.
