Show Description +
Christina Y. Weng, MD, MBA, presents a case of a 68-year-old male with a history of retina tears who waited for 1.5 years to have his symptomatic vitreous opacities (SVO) treated surgically. The case demonstrates that visual acuity is not always the best measure of the outcome after vitrectomy for SVO, and that multifocal IOLs could be contributing to a rise in SVO by heightening recipients’ awareness of floaters in the vitreous.
