ABOUT SLT

First introduced in 2001, SLT, Selective Light Therapy, continues to play a fundamental role in the glaucoma treatment algorithm. SLT is as effective as medication, both as first-line treatment and as adjunctive treatment, but without the compliance issues and detrimental effect on patients’ quality of life. It also pairs seamlessly with all MIGS procedures as both a preoperative diagnostic aid or as a postoperative adjunct.

ABOUT 2RT

A non-thermal laser therapy, Retinal Rejuvenation Therapy, 2RT®, stimulates a natural, biological healing response in the eye and in a pilot study on 50 patients has demonstrated potential as an intervention which may positively influence early Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). Unlike conventional retinal laser therapy, which can cause permanent collateral damage to the sensitive structures of the eye, 2RT® protects the retina from thermal damage

ABiC™ is a comprehensive MIGS procedure that flushes out the natural outflow channels, without damaging tissue, and without leaving behind a stent or shunt. Performed with Ellex’s proprietary iTrack™ technology, ABiC™ is designed to re-establish the eye’s natural outflow drainage system and accesses, catheterizes, and viscodilates the trabecular meshwork, Schlemm’s canal, and also the distal outflow system. LFT, laser vitreolysis, is a highly effective outpatient-based procedure that can eliminate the visual disturbance caused by vitreous strands and opacities, commonly referred to as floaters.
