[3D] Staining Techniques and Prevention of PVR Postoperatively in an Eye With Diabetic Tractional Macular Edema

  Channels: 3D | Posted 10/23/2019

Francesco Boscia, MD, demonstrates surgery on a patient with diabetic tractional macular edema where the pathology is deceptively widespread. Following removal of multiple layers of vitreous with the aid of triamcinolone, Dr. Boscia injects a dexamethasone intravitreal implant to prevent PVR and macular edema postoperatively. Dr. Boscia takes extra precautions to avoid having the implant hit the retina.
