Rich (312 days ago) I do not routinely use tropin or atropine though I know others find this helpful. We routinely give all our ASC patients a small 1ml bottle of 1% cyclogel and ask them to take a drop on the morning of surgery. This facilitates dilation and patient flow for all patients but I don't believe it helps that much for ifis patients. I routinely use 1:10,000 preservative free epinephrine for any patient on flomax or any surgery where the pupillary response makes it seem as is it is an "ifis situation".
