Splayed RK Incision in Cataract Case

Channels: Cataract Surgery | Posted 1/16/2015

Arun C. Gulani, MD, presents a dense cataract case with RK incisions. He uses a secondary instrument to feed lens material to the phaco tip to avoid distorting the RK incisions. He uses a toric lens manipulator of his own design to move the IOL into place. As the case is coming to a close, he notices the RK incision nearest to the main incision is slight splayed so he applied ReSure Sealant (Ocular Therapeutics) to the RK and main incisions.
