The Underside of Innovation
Winner of a Kelman’s Innovator Award, Robert Osher, MD, shares an up-close-and-personal look at some of the complicated cases that occurred on the threshold technological development in cataract surgery. The surgeon also explains how the outcomes and experiences from these cases led to a new paradigm of surgical strategies. Some of the topics presented include corneal relaxing incisions, standards for lens selection, slow-motion phaco, and development and use of novel CTRs, lens injectors, ophthalmic viscosurgical devices, and prosthetic irises.
