Problematic Multifocality - Tecnis Replaced by Crystalens
A multifocal IOL patients returns shortly after surgery with complaints of intolerable night vision. The fellow eye was implanted with a Crystalens with good results so Dr. Alan Aker opts to exchange the Tecnis IOL for a Crystalens. After removing the multifocal lens through an enlarged incision, the surgeon implants a capsular tension ring. A Crystalens is inserted and rotated into the vertical position.
