Yes, if you do not have a clue what you're doing, you probably could damage the zonules. You have to know when to withdraw the pre-chopper, and that's all that's to it.

Yes you can do prechop with 3+ nuclei, but I now use OZIL rather than aqualase

Don´t you think prechop technique with that instrument could damage zonule lens? Because you´re doing some pression over the lens.
