Tom: I always prefer to empty the capsule bag and then place the ring of choice at that time. I only place a ring early if I need to stretch the bag or help center it. Placing the ring as late as I can, but as early as I must, to quote Ken Rosenthal, makes is easier to remove the cortex, prevents me from placing a ring in an eye with a broken capsule or anterior capsulorrhexis, and allows me to make a decision regarding the type of ring I wish to place. Marcos: Sorry for the late reply; just saw your post. The tonometer has two rings; the outer is set a t 15 mm Hg and the inner is 21 mm Hg. It is made by Ocular Instruments and is the Terry-Kratz model (or something similar)

Thanks for excellent video and for incision closure tips. What is the range of the Barraquer tonometer used ? Do you previously check incision stability with overpressure ? Thanks
