I had a subretinal gas bubble once after pneumatic retinopexy. I positioned the patient on their back & moved their head until the hole was at the lowest point & then milked the bubble towards the break with a combination of scleral depression and head movements. This allowed the bubble to come out of the hole & float up with gravity.
