I do not routinely use tropin or atropine though I know others find this helpful. We routinely give all our ASC patients a small 1ml bottle of 1% cyclogel and ask them to take a drop on the morning of surgery. This facilitates dilation and patient flow for all patients but I don't believe it helps that much for ifis patients. I routinely use 1:10,000 preservative free epinephrine for any patient on flomax or any surgery where the pupillary response makes it seem as is it is an "ifis situation".
Do you prescribe the patients with Tropin pre operatively? Do you use intra-cameral Adrenaline?
