Linear Fluidic Control and Torsional Ultrasound
Several technical modifications help Dr. Ahmed perform cataract surgery safely and effectively in eyes with IFIS, including proper wound construction, superior fluidics, viscodilation, and a modified soft shell technique with ophthalmic viscosurgical devices (OVDs). Linear control of fluidics enables him to titrate the amount of flow and vacuum between low and high as needed. He removes the viscoelastic from the capsular bag with a dry aspiration technique while rotating the toric IOL into position.

Excellent example of control and skill! You may want to to try 150/350 for vac for 1-2+ and 200-250/350 for 3-4+. Also some surgeons are using 10-15/35 cc per minute. With torsional a shorter foot position is better so the torsional will stay at a higher level. 1-20, 2-50, 3-25. Overall, Dr. Ahmed has complete control of the nucleus.
