Tory, Sorry, I just posted the incorrect pharmacy for the compounded tropicamide. The one we use is:
Tory, thanks for your kind words. The intracameral tropicamide is compounded by the Northern New England Compounding Pharmacy. Phone 603-444-0094. It came in wonderfully handy the other day when we ended up ahead of schedule, and basically ready for the patient in the OR when they had just arrived at the ASC. Regarding the J-cannula for cortical irrigation, the first few years I used this technique, I merely irrigated the subincional cortex and nothing else. It was only with time (and practice) that it became more useful.
Dr. Dewey....thanks for your phaco tip designs...I have been using them on both the Infinity and lately the Stellaris with too many examples where I have been saved by the tip design. I have been trying out your J can. irrigation lately also and have had many positive experiences....although I need to work on my technique.
