Episode 8: The Role for FDT and SWAP

Chris Johnson, PhD, discusses the state of visual field testing, particularly the role of short wavelength automated perimetry (SWAP), a system for selectively testing color vision mechanisms that allows the detection of glaucoma in its earliest stages. He also discusses frequency doubling technology perimetry, where visual bars are flickered rapidly causing subjects to see twice as many bars as there actually are, measuring contrast perception, and other visual field tests.
