Hovanesian, MD, of Harvard Eye Associates in Laguna Hills, CA, presented results of a Phase 3 FDA study of the ReSure Ocular Bandage, a hydrogel polymer that can be applied to the surface of clear corneal cataract incisions at the conclusion of surgery. In the study, patients with the ReSure bandage had significantly less corneal stromal edema and better visual acuity at 24 hours than controls.
