Dr. Gabor Scharioth worked with DORC to develop a new fiber for canaloplasty - the Glaucolight. The DORC Glaucolight is a micro-fiber with an illuminated tip. The diameter of this fiber is just 150 micron allowing for minimally invasive surgery, and the flexible 360 degree followability of the Schlemm’s canal. An additional light source is not needed as the bright LED illuminated fiber tip helps visualize the position of the fiber during the
360 degree Schlemm’s canal passage.
