ULTRACHOPPER Tip for Central Dense 3.5+ Cataract

Dr. Robert Cionni presents a 52 year-old male with a dense fetal nuclear sclerotic cataract. The cornea is marked to guide capsulorhexis size and centration. Dr. Cionni fills the anterior chamber with VISCOAT ophthalmic viscosurgical device . The ultrasonic chopper cuts into the lens just deep enough to enable a prechopper to perform final separation of the lens into quadrants. Cortical material removal, capsule polishing, and OVD removal is accomplished with the curved polymer I/A tip. To close the case, an AcrySof IQ IOL is inserted. Viewed 8761 times.
