Rosa Braga-Mele, MD, presents a 58-year old female with a posterior subcapsular cataract. The anterior chamber is filled with DisCoVisc and two-stepped small incision is constructed. Using OZil IP torsional phacoemulsification, Dr. Braga-Mele performs a Soft Chop technique to disassemble the lens. Cortical clean-up and capsule polishing is performed with a disposable INTREPID Polymer I/A tip. An AcrySof IQ ReSTOR +3.0 IOL is injected and centered on the patient’s visual axis.
