Unexplained IOL Surprise

Robert Osher, MD, presents a puzzling case of bilateral lens exchange following IOL surprise. In both eyes, the IOL power calculations were one or two diopters off target resulting with seemingly no explanation. The first lens is removed but cutting one quadrant and pulling the rest of the lens through a 3-mm incision whereas the second lens is extracted via an intraocular re-fold technique. The patient achieved 20/20 vision following lens exchange with the proper AcrySof IQ ReSTOR IOL power. Viewed 13236 times.
