Alcon Live Surgery 2010
The Cataract and Refractive Live Surgery program was presented as a live telecast in Boston. In this program, the surgical faculty present four cataract operations and one lens implant exchange. The cases demonstrate techniques on managing difficult cases involving denser lenses and weak zonules using advanced custom lens removal using the INFINITI Vision System with the new OZil Intelligent Phaco (IP) technology. The surgical faculty utilized the INTREPID Micro-Coaxial System with implantation of a fully-useable 6.0-mm optic IOL through a 2.2-mm or 2.4-mm micro-incision and demonstrate the use of the following advanced, aspheric IOL technologies for cataract surgery: AcrySof IQ ReSTOR IOL +3.0 D, AcrySof IQ Toric IOL, AcrySof IQ IOL.
