Marlene Moster, MD, provides an overview of the Ex-PRESS shunt and explains how the device is implanted. During the surgical video, she provides pearls on Ex-PRESS shunt placement and suturing techniques that offer the surgeon improved control over fluid egress. Implantation of the Ex-PRESS shunt can be performed simultaneously with any type of cataract extraction, ideally following clear cornea phaco-emulsification, sparing the conjunctiva at both surgical sites.
