Conjunctival Pigmented Lesions: The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

Carol Shields, MD, reviews her talk on conjunctival pigmented lesions. Dr. Shields categorizes such lesions as good (conjunctival nevus, including giant nevus and blue nevus), bad (conjunctival primary acquired melanosis), and ugly (melanoma). Dr. Shields explains that biomarkers may predict which melanomas are at high risk for metastasis, and reviews the details of particular biomarkers.
